We’ve added Auto-Assign by Customer Tag to Membership V2, making it easier to automatically enroll customers in membership plans based on customer tags.

Key updates:

• Auto-assign membership based on customer tags — Automatically enroll any customer with a specific tag
• Condition-based enrollment — Choose “when the customer has a tag” as the assignment trigger
• Custom tag support — Use any tag you’ve already created (e.g., vip-member, loyal-customer)
• Automatic synchronization — Customers tagged going forward are automatically enrolled

Why This Matters

You have VIP customers and special groups already tagged in your system. Today, you manually assign membership plans to these groups. Tags exist but memberships aren’t synced to them. You miss opportunities to enroll customers who should be members.

The challenge: Manual membership assignment takes time. Tags aren’t connected to membership enrollment. New customers matching your criteria aren’t automatically enrolled.

How to Get Started

1. Go to Membership > Create or Edit Plan
2. Enable “Automatically assign this plan to customers”
3. Select “When the customer has a tag”
4. Enter the specific customer tag (e.g., vip-member)
5. Save your membership plan
6. Any customer with that tag is now automatically enrolled

Example

Set the tag condition to vip-member. Any customer with the vip-member tag will automatically receive that membership plan, no manual assignment needed.
