New Feature Updates for Shopify POS and AiTrillion Loyalty Rewards Integration!

AiTrillion has launched significant updates to the Shopify POS Loyalty & Rewards integration.

These enhancements give merchants greater control, flexibility, and consistency in how rewards and discounts are managed across POS and Online Store. With smoother workflows and cross-channel compatibility, your loyalty program will now deliver a more seamless and rewarding experience for both your staff and customers.

🆕 What’s New in POS Loyalty & Rewards
1️⃣ Expanded Reward Types in POS

Until now, POS supported only Money Off and Percent Off rewards. With this release, you can now enable:

  • Free Product Rewards
  • Product-Specific Discount Rewards

💡 Use case: Offer a free product (like a sample or accessory) as an in-store upsell, or restrict discounts to certain SKUs you want to promote offline. This helps you run targeted promotions and improve reward personalisation.

2️⃣ Minimum Cart Amount Criteria Extended to POS

Any minimum cart value requirement you set for rewards/discounts online will now apply in POS as well.

💡 Use case: If you set a $50 cart minimum to redeem a $10 discount online, customers must meet the same requirement in-store. This ensures consistent rules across channels and avoids customer confusion.

3️⃣ Reward Visibility Control

Merchants can now decide exactly which rewards appear in POS checkout. Only the rewards you select from eligible types will show up. This can be controlled from the AiTrillion account easily.

💡 Use case: You may want to restrict big-ticket or seasonal rewards for online-only use while allowing smaller, everyday discounts for POS. This gives you better segmentation and control.

4️⃣ Cross-Channel Discount Code Usage

Discount codes generated online but unused can now be redeemed directly in POS.
💡 Use case: A customer redeemed a point online for a discount code, but did not use it in an online purchase. Now, the same code can be applied at the POS checkout, creating a frictionless omnichannel experience.

5️⃣ Immediate Points Reversal for Unused Discounts

If a discount code is generated at POS but goes unused, it will automatically appear in the POS system and can be reverted instantly. The customer’s points are credited back to their account immediately.
💡 Use case: If a customer decides not to use the reward at the last minute, they won’t lose their points — boosting trust, fairness, and satisfaction.

6️⃣ Centralised Reward Management in AiTrillion

All POS reward configurations — including visibility, cart rules, and eligible reward types — can now be controlled directly from the AiTrillion backend.
💡 Use case: Admins no longer need to adjust settings separately for online and POS. This makes multi-channel loyalty program management faster, more accurate, and error-free.
