We’ve rolled out two powerful updates to enhance the way loyalty points are managed, displayed, and rewarded — giving you greater flexibility, profit protection, and better engagement from your customers.
You can now visually alert customers when their points are about to expire—right from the storefront loyalty pop-up.
Set when the bar appears (e.g. 30, 60, 90 days before expiry) Custom messages for both upcoming and same-day expirations Create urgency and nudge customers to redeem points or shop again
💡 Example: “Your loyalty points are set to expire in 10 days. Redeem them or make a new purchase to extend their validity.”
🎯 Why it matters: Showing expiry countdowns boosts redemptions, increases customer return rate, and prevents points from going unused.

We’ve added two key configuration options under the ‘Make a Purchase’ activity to refine how points are awarded:
🛑 Exclude Discounted Orders from Earning Points
Now you can prevent loyalty points from being awarded when discounts are applied—whether it’s on the entire order or specific products. 🔒 Helps maintain profit margins during sales.
🔄 Do Not Extend Expiry When No Points Earned
If an order does not earn any points, its activity won’t extend the customer’s point expiry date. 🔍 Prevents manipulation of expiry by non-qualifying purchases.
🎯 Why it matters: This ensures that only valuable, reward-worthy purchases help customers retain or extend their point balance—aligning perfectly with your business goals.
